Knives by Jay Maines

"Finest Quality"

Born and raised in northern Maine.  Jay grew up hunting and trapping.  At 19, he went to South Vietnam.   He carried a Randall Made #14 Survival Knife.  That experience taught him the value of a well made knife.  He started making knives in 1990 at first as gifts for family and friends but like most men's hobbies, it got out of hand as he strove for perfection with each new knife.  For Jay, making knives is a labor of love where he can focus on the details of fit and finish, bringing together each of the parts, creating a new knife.

Jay's Guarantee:  Any knife I make is fully guaranteed for "life" against any defects in materials and workmanship.   However, if a knife has been broken or damaged due to abuse (throwing, prying, hammering, or twisting the blade) this will void the guarantee.  Natural handle materials, exotic woods, and stag horn may shrink or expand due to humidity and temperature changes.  This is a natural occurrence and does not constitute a defect.
